Magnetic chuck for HM
knives
The magnetic chuck is
suitable for straightening out Widia (HM) tools, used for
woodworking. The chuck has a strong holding power because the small
knives are positioned directly on the magnets so even very small
pieces can be resharpened. It is particularly suitable for linear or
surface grinders because the supporting bed is parallel to the
magnetic surface.
The magnetic chuck can be
:
a) secured to any type
of magnetic chuck ;
b) fixed mechanically
by means of the four holes around the edges.
The chuck is available in
two sizes :
1) mm 200 x 70 x 20
2) mm 400 x 70 x 20
By aligning or flanking a
number of magnetic chucks, extremely strong magnetic surfaces can be
obtained.

Portable Refractometer
MVM has been manufacturing
knife sharpening and surface grinding machines for more than 40
years, and now offers to its present and future customers a new type
of refractometer.
A refractometer is a tool
used to measure the concentration of a water solution by measuring
its refractive index.
This portable and
practical instrument is a must for anyone using grinding machines who
needs to check the oil concentration in the coolant solution used
in grinding machine.
The range varies from 0 to
10 (BRIX) and allows MVM machine users not to go over the correct oil
to water percentage of 1.5% to 2%.
The use of this instrument
is extremely important because if a grinding machine operates with a
concentration of oil higher or lower than the recommended percentage
this could cause problems which are well-known to everyone in this
sector.

An aluminium oxide stone
with various granulometries. We suggest the use of the
double grain version (180/500) for a wide filed of application. The colour (orange, brown,
blue) is due to the oxide content, which confers a high level of
toughness to the stone.Stone for sharpening
particular worn out tools, suitable for use by inexperienced people. We suggest the use of this
stone before finishing with natural stones.
APPLICATION: dry, oil,
petroleum or water.
CLEANING: rub stone with
sandpaper and water.

NOVITA’
Quartz is one of the most
abundant materials in nature. However only few natural stones have
the correct quartz-carbonate (bonding agents) ratio; a perfect
balance that makes these natural stones exceptional for sharpening.
The natural characteristics of these stones are enhanced by the use
of water which, reacting with the lime, removes it slightly, leaving
the abrasive quartz permanently exposed. This means that the stone
can be immediately and perfectly cleaned, maintaining its abrasive
characteristics. Qualities of the natural stone: high quartz content
with homogeneous distribution of the sharp-edged quartz grains
(measuring only a few tenths of a Micron), that provide a high level
of abrasiveness and long term use. This type of stone is easy, and
clean to use, durable with constant performances.
APPLICATION: with water.
CLEANING: leave stone to
soak in water and vinegar for 12 hours.

NOVITA’
Device for disposable
blades
NOVITA’
MVM s.r.l., proposes to
its customers a mechanical multifunctional clamping device for
“disposable” blades, apt to be installed on MVM knife sharpening
machines.Each device is for
specific use with one kind of blade, for example Tersa, Centrofix,
Weining etc.All the faces of the
blades are rectified and this together with a special clamping
systems allows the tool to b easily mounted or removed from the
grinding machine.We guarantee a parallelism
between the centering groove and the cutting edge of 0.02 mm/m.
